HNS is always looking for people to assist in the development and
implementation of our projects. Tree-planting with children, garbage
clean-up campaigns, Wildlife-aid and editing nature magazines are
just a few of the areas you can look in to.
Current Focus: In the stray animal welfare project we are trying
to provide veterinary health care services to injured and sick stray
dogs and animal birth control (ABC) awareness and assistance.
We are putting our all energies to establish a permanent hospital
and shelter house for stray animals. We are looking for Veterinarians,
Vet-Nurses, Donors, Sponsors and fundraisers to establish a Hospital,
shelter house and to provide Mobile Rescue.

We can arrange jeep-Safaris on the highest motorable road in the
World and also we can arrange Tribal family stay in the Himachal

Rock Climbing; climbing up the Himalayan Rocks
at an altitude of 2800 Mtrs to 3600 Mtrs is always a fun after the
work with animals or plantation drive. Around Dharamsala there are
several alpine zones to experience this mountain adventure.
River
Crossing: Snow fed white water River Crossing and Camping
is another charm to feel Himalayas and its beauty. We organize such
kind of nature activities for our volunteer and donors to feel them
close to nature in Himalayas.
Cultural Event: Participation in local tribal
marriage, festivals, dances, religious rituals, historical monuments
will let you feel experience the different World.

Birdwatching : As according to our research &
documentation 556 birds species exists (including wintering migratory)
in Kangra Valley.

We divide the valley in to three zones for birding depending on
climate, altitude and area.
Pong Wetland. Internationally declared RAMSER
site which provides home for more than 1,80,000 birds which migrates
form Trans-Himalayan zones Siberia,Russia,Tibet,China and Leh. Pong
Wetland is a huge man made water body which covers 403 Sq.kms of
area having different variation i.e. marshland, forest, wheat fields
and island etc.
Best Time: 15th November to 15th March.
Bird watching- Kangra Valley is one of the hot spot in India for

Altitude: 300 Mtrs.
Accommodation: Forest Rest House, PWD
Rest House, Water Sports Complex and some people arrange home stays.

Pochard, Ferruginous Pochard, Common Merganser,Bar-headed Goose,

Shivalik Hills & Sarah Tea Garden. Around
Sarah, tea gardens are surrounded by lush groves and endless mosaics
of irrigated fields of wheat and paddy.Nativ trees of these areas
includes Mango,Ficus,Bamboo,Amla,Poplar Etc.Mud,slate roofed houses
represent the Himalayan architecture and life style.

Peafowl, Red Junglefowl, Chestnut-bellied Nuthatch, Black-headed

Dhauladhar Hills: Sub-Himalayan range of mountains
viewed form lower Kangra Valley gives a breath taking charm of Himalayas.
Cedar (Cedrus deodar), rhododendron and Himalayan Oak are the jewel
of Dhouladhair hills and provides great habitat for Pheasants, Quails,
Francolines, Partidges Etc.
Best Time: 15th April to 15th June and
15th September to 15th November.
Duration : 7 Days
Altitude : 1800 Mtrs to 3600 Mtrs.
