Himalayan Nature Society is a voluntary organization registered as non-profit charity in the village of Gamru, near the town of Dharamsala in the Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India.

The Himalayan Nature Society is committed in its endeavors to Animal Welfare and protect the Environment .Our Dharamsala Dog Rescue project is located behind Forest office or Court Complex at Chilgari Street, Lower Dharamsala.

We are a Member Society of World Society for Protection of Animals, UK. We are recognized and affiliated to the Animal Welfare Board of India, Chennai, India which is our National apex body. We are now almost 11 years old and have been working in the town of Dharamsala and its environs since then.

We have dog’s kannels, animal clinic, Operation Theater & ambulance to perform rescue, birth control and related animal welfare activities.

Mission statement: our mission is to improve living conditions for animals and humans by protecting Environment and providing humane animal birth control programs, veterineary services & community education through clinics & local training programs.
